Welcome students and families! When the school opened in 2014, I was one of the founding teachers at ACRMA8, and this year, I am honored and proud to help lead the school as an Assistant Principal.

My background: I am originally from Fresno, California and I went to Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo for my undergraduate degree. I have a Master of Arts in Curriculum and Instruction from Cal State, Dominguez Hills and a Master of Arts in School Administration from Loyola Marymount University. I started my teaching career when I moved to LA thirteen years ago as a 6th grade math/science teacher in South Los Angeles. I stayed there for six years before moving to the Alliance, where I spent four years teaching math at Alliance Environmental Science and Technology High School. At ACRMA8, I was the founding math teacher, an instructional coach, Director of Instruction, and now Assistant Principal.

My interests: I am an avid reader, and I welcome any book recommendations you have for me!  As a child, I spent so much time at the library that I considered a career as a librarian, so if you are having trouble finding a book you like, come find me and I can help! When I'm home, I love to cook and hang out with my cat Frankie. On the weekend, I love exploring all the different neighborhoods of Los Angeles. I'm a big fan of public transportation, so if you see me on the bus or train on the way to school, feel free to say hi!

I am excited to work with all new and continuing students and families this school year. Feel free to reach out to me if you need anything or have any questions...I'm here to help!
