I come from a small town in Northern Wisconsin. The town is called Winter, and like it sounds, the area is cold. I graduated with a Bachelors degree in History at the University of Wisconsin-Superior, with a double minor in East Asian & European Studies. I was fortunate to study abroad in China, Scotland, and South Korea. I've been married to a wonderful spouse since 2010. For several years now I've made Los Angeles my home.
I earned my Master's degree at the the University of Southern California (USC), MAT Single-subject Social Studies. I've worked for Non-profit organizations such as AmeriCorps, Youth Policy Institute (YPI), and the National Council of La Raza (NCLR). I am committed to the Alliance, and I'm proud to be part of the ACRMA8 team!
My hobbies and interests are involved with traveling. Whether camping at Mammoth Lake, road-tripping to Mexico, or hiking The Great Wall of China, much of my free time is spent exploring. I also enjoy playing sports, particularly basketball and track, and I try to at least read a book every month.
