My name is Mr. Villanueva or "Mr. V". I was born and raised in Southern California. I went to school at California State University, Dominguez Hills for my Bachelor's degree and Teaching Credential. I continued my education at Concordia University, Irvine and earned my Master's degree in Sports Administration and Coaching. I have always been involved in sports ever since I was a little kid. My favorite sport is baseball, played it year round throughout my childhood. I still play recreationally with my buddies on the weekends and softball during the week. I am big fan of the Los Angeles Dodgers, Los Angeles Clippers, and the Minnesota Vikings.
I decided to become a Physical Education Teacher because I believe it is important for every child and student to learn the fundamental aspects of all sports and activities. These are necessary so the students can have a life long goal of being active and enjoying life outside and away from the television or video games. Whether it is sports like basketball, baseball, volleyball, soccer, badminton, tennis, yoga, bike riding, and hiking there is a foundation aspect that is built on understanding your body and learning how to perform the skill or technique correctly. I will try my best to teach you the best way for you to proceed, progress, be safe, and grow. My goal is to teach those strategies and ideas to assist you in bettering yourself and becoming a more active person.
Let's have a great year and I look forward to teaching and growing with you!
