Welcome to a new year at ACRMA8.
I was born in LA, but moved to Seattle when I was one, where I was raised. My dad is from Kyoto, Japan, and my mom is from New York. Throughout school, I felt math was an under-appreciated subject so I made it my goal to become a math teacher and try to change peoples' minds. I attended University of Washington where I majored in Mathematics with a focus on education. After graduating, I tutored youth in math and coached tennis, until I was accepted into a teaching program called "Math for America." This brought me back to LA where I am happy to be teaching.
I really like the outdoors. I enjoy playing pretty much all sports, but my main ones are tennis, basketball, and frisbee. I also really like hiking and backpacking.
Favorite Teams: Seahawks, Spurs.
Favorite Foods: Teriyaki and Tortas
Favorite Books: I like fantasy books. Harry Potter, Eragon, Redwall, The Passage, Flatland and many more.
Favorite Subject: MATH!
