My name is Jeanette Rivas and I am happy to be your counselor at ACRMA8. My journey to become a counselor was influenced by many experiences I faced along the way as a student and an educator for many years. I’m here to support you with life challenges, teach life and academic skills, to prepare you for a successful lifelong journey.

I attended CSUDH and received a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology. I wanted to continue learning and further my education thus I then attended CSULB, and earned a Master’s of Science in Counseling and PPS Credential. Throughout my college journey I was driven by the students I worked with along the way. I find it very rewarding when I see my student’s progress and succeed.

Outside of work, I love to spend time with my family. I love beaches and parks and enjoy them even more when my two dogs accompany me. Other things I enjoy doing are: reading research articles, traveling, drinking boba tea, and dancing.

My name is Michelle Mendoza and I am your middle school counselor. I was born and raised in Southern California. I am the oldest of four children. With the support and guidance from my family and mentors I had the opportunity to have an amazing college journey! Surround yourself with individuals who have similar goals and dreams! I am so happy to be at ACRMA8 with all of you!

Currently, I hold a bachelor's in Psychology and Criminal Justice from Cal State University, Fullerton and a master's in Educational and clinical counseling from Azusa Pacific University. Therefore, lets get College and Career Ready!!

Mi nombre es Jeanette Rivas y estoy feliz de ser tu consejera en ACRMA#8. Mi encuesta en ser consejera comenzó con mis experiencias de estudiante y trabajando en escuelas. Estoy aquí para ayudarle con tiempos dificultosos, guiarlos a responder con fortalez, y enseñando habilidades para prepararse.

Fui a la Universidad Estatal de California, Long Beach y obtuve mi Maestría en Ciencias en Consejería y Credencial en Servicios Estudiantiles de personal. A lo largo de mi trayectoria de la universidad los estudiantes con los que trabajé me motivaron en el camino. Verlos progresar es muy gratificante para mí.

Fuera del trabajo, me encanta pasar tiempo con mi familia. Me encantan las playas y los parques, disfruto aún más cuando mis dos perros me acompañan. Otras cosas que me gusta hacer son: leer artículos de investigación, viajar, beber té de boba, y el baile.

Mi nombre es Michelle Mendoza y yo soy su consejero. Nací y crecí en el sur de California . Soy la mayor de cuatro hermanos . Con el apoyo y la orientación de mi familia y mentores que tuve la oportunidad de tener un un camino de la universidad increíble ! Desenvolverme con personas que tienen metas y sueños similares ! Estoy muy feliz de estar en ACRMA8 con todos ustedes !

Tengo una licenciatura en Psicología y Justicia Penal de Cal State University, Fullerton y una maestría en Educación en Consejeria de la Universidad Azusa Pacific.
